昭和初年，日本电影业正处在蒸蒸日上的时节。群星璀璨，名匠辈出，人人为电影狂热。 在浅草帝国电影院卖香烟水果的女孩小春（有森也实 饰）清新秀丽，并且秉承了演员父母的表演天赋。她出众的形象很快为名导小仓（すまけい 饰）发现，最终将其带入了蒲田摄影所。 当然，表演的道路十分艰辛，小春起初只能演一些没有台词的小角色，并且经常因演技受到导演的斥责。伤心的小春一度萌生退意，但在家人和副导演岛田（中井貴一 饰）的鼓励下，她又重新走入片场。努力的小春不断磨练演技，同时得到与众多名导合作的机会。随着蒲田当家花旦川岛澄江（松坂庆子 饰）的失踪，小春终于得到了演艺生涯中第一个重要的角色——电影《浮萍》中的女主角…… 本片为松竹大船摄影所成立50周年的纪念作品，并荣获1987年蓝丝带最佳新人女演员（有森也实）和最佳男配角奖（すまけい）。。Scientists at a secret underground complex have found a way to travel to another dimension.
