A young street magician is left to take care of his little sister after his mother's passing and turns to drug dealing in the Los Angeles party scene to keep a roof over their heads. When he gets into trouble with his supplier, his sister is kidnapped and he is forced to rely on both his sleight of hand and brilliant mind to save her。本片主要讲述了一对满是矛盾的父女为了改善关系而求助于心理疏导，使用了最新研发的亲子关系修复系统，通过虚拟现实（VR）技术，以游戏场景体验的方式为父女二人量身定做了一款游戏，并在游戏世界中帮助二人实现了一场逼真的角色互换之旅，都因此而感受到了彼此的不易，最后在亲情的催化下，父女二人终于化解了矛盾，成为了无话不谈的“好友”。。
