牛大宝（包贝尔 饰）一心一意的喜欢着名为袁玉娥（王鸥 饰）的女子，向其展开热烈的攻势，没想到却在误打误撞之中成为了京师总驿站皇华驿中的一员，之后，牛大宝震惊的发现袁玉娥原来是洪帮成员，而洪帮正是皇华驿大力打压清理的反清帮派之一。 牛大宝虽然其貌不扬，却有着过人的智慧，他表面对皇华驿忠心耿耿，取得了驿长龙定海（林雪 饰）的信任，另一方面，他又屡屡在袁玉娥陷入危难之际对其伸出援手，更因此结识了春花（贾玲 饰）和铁千顶等一干能人志士。牛大宝发现皇华驿中正在酝酿一个险恶的阴谋，他能否凭借着自己的勇气和智慧，破获这一阴谋，保护百姓的平安呢？。For Brian Jones, the Rolling Stones were meant to be a blues band, or at least R&B.
